Privacy policy

Understand how we collect, use and secure your personal information to give you a worry-free experience on Customiizer.

1. Introduction

This privacy policy informs users of the Customiizer website about how their personal data is collected, used and protected, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data collected

We collect the following data when you use the website: name, email address, delivery address, payment information, personalised content you provide (text, images), as well as technical data (IP address, browser type, connection time, etc.).

3. Purposes of processing and legal basis

Each processing activity is based on a specific legal basis:
– Processing orders and delivering them: performance of the contract
– Creating your design from the photo or text you provide: performance of the contract. Your photos are only used to produce your creation and are never used to train any artificial intelligence model, neither ours nor our providers'
– Managing customer relations and support: performance of the contract and legitimate interest
– Keeping the website secure (preventing fraud and quota abuse): legitimate interest
– Meeting our legal and tax obligations: legal obligation
– Sending you marketing communications, where applicable: consent, which can be withdrawn at any time

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at community@customiizer.com. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (the National Commission for Data Protection in Luxembourg, or the authority of your country of residence in the European Union).

5. Retention period

Your photos, creations and account history are kept as long as your account remains active, and are deleted when your account is deleted (on request, via community@customiizer.com). Order-related data (invoicing, accounting) is kept for the period required by our legal and tax obligations, regardless of the account. Creations you choose to publish in the community remain visible until you remove them yourself.

6. Data sharing

Data is never sold. It may be shared with technical providers (image creation, printing, delivery, payment, hosting) solely to process your order and under a confidentiality commitment. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where this happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (in particular standard contractual clauses).

7. Lya assistant

Conversations with the Lya assistant are sent to our provider OpenAI solely to generate the replies. Lya only sends your first name and, when you ask about an order, that order's details. Customiizer does not keep these conversations: the conversation stays in your browser and is erased when you close the tab. The only exception: if a support ticket is created for your request, the conversation is attached to it and kept with the ticket for follow-up. Please do not share sensitive data (health, full bank details, etc.) beyond what your request requires.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, unauthorised access or any form of unlawful processing.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated at any time. In the event of a substantial change, users will be informed by email or through a notice on the website.
